Have you ever been annoyed or furious with your parents and then made a random vow to yourself about what you would not do with your children and how you would raise them when you become a parent? Well, the majority of us have done it haven’t we? Since we were not mature and not aware of the consequences of promising ourselves just like that, we kind of regret that moment later on. It is now, the time when we have finally become parents and realize that it is so childish of us to do so without bearing in mind the price, we have to pay for getting angry at our parents.

The process of parenting is tiring. It is so because we become solely responsible for our child and if something were to happen, we cannot blame it on others, certainly cannot! Nevertheless, parenthood is a blessing, and one should be glad that they have been given a chance.

A few things to keep in mind when parenting:

• This is a process which goes on for a lifetime, meaning, right from birth to bringing the child up to the independent adult to their death, that is if one gets to stay long enough then their children.
• Taking responsibilities that come along with being a child’s parents.
• This process is solely an act of caring and worrying for a child regardless of the connection biologically.
• It is also needed for a parent to provide their children with a stressless environment, keeping in mind their needs socially, mentally, and physically along with providing them with a financially stable home.
• Taking into consideration one child’s needs as they grow up.

Why is it a process where development takes place in children as well as their parents?

 The answer to this question would be that both are born at the same moment. Allow me to explain how. For the child, it is the moment that it enters the world like normally by birth. The parents, now, this is interesting because they change themselves once they acquire the position of father and mother. The father before embracing parenthood could have been short-tempered, not so caring, or rather cold and the mother could have been busy with work and mostly concerned about herself. Now, these, two individuals change themselves, the father becomes tolerant and warm the mother changes and directs her time and attention to her newly born kid. Apart from this, it is proven by research that after a child’s birth the relationship between couples strengthens and becomes deeper.
